Hawkins Bolden

Hawkins Bolden (1914 - 2005) from Memphis, Tennessee, was blind from the age of eight. He made objects that were, at least originally, "scarecrows" for his garden -- powerful figures made of cast-off metal objects with holes punched in them and lengths of garden hose or carpet attached.
