Jennifer Harrison was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1972 and lives today in Toronto. Belonging to a long line of mediocre (yet persistent) landscape artists, she began painting at an early age. In recent years Jennifer has miraculously survived an earthquake, a flood, a house fire, a hit-and-run automobile accident, a barbeque explosion, homelessness, toothlessness, a (near) plane crash, a brain tumor and vicious dog attack. To balance the pace of this hectic lifestyle, she has worked hard to become the full-time painter she is today. Though her materials and technique continue to evolve, her favorite subject will always be the Edwardian houses and alleyways surrounding her house in Toronto. She also enjoys painting cottages from photos of places she someday hopes to visit.
