First Thursdays -- The Victor Mourning

 Yard Dog Gallery presents The Victor Mourning during First Thursdays.

 

The Victor Mourning will be bringing their brand of shadow-filled, acoustic twang to Yard Dog in Austin during First Thursdays this fall. Join us in the Gallery at 7:30 pm on October 2, November 6, and December 4.

About The Victor Mourning
The Victor Mourning is the latest project of Austin singer/songwriter Stephen Lee Canner, a transplanted Texan with his roots in Arkansas & Appalachia; and Lynne Adele, a folk art scholar and longtime Austinite with roots in the prairies of the upper Midwest. They are joined by fiddler Stefan Keydel, a folklorist and former Director of the Louisiana Folklife Festival. The group performs acoustic anachronisms from another century that are firmly rooted in this one; sometimes raucous, sometimes quiet, mostly dark, and very southern.
