Salas-Humara, Walter

A Cuban-American whose parents fled Castro’s Havana with him still in the womb, Walter Salas-Humara was raised bilingual just across the Florida Straits in Fort Lauderdale. A musician and a painter since childhood, Walter spent most of his adult life living in New York City before relocating to Arizona a couple of years ago. Walter paints dogs - colorful, happy, crazy dogs. He continues to make music, both solo and with his band The Silos.
