Rebekka Federle

Rebekka Federle - raised on the south side of Chicago - has lived in Budapest, New Orleans, Kansas City, Missouri, Portland, Maine, and Berlin, Germany. Her work explores narratives culled from ancient myths, local folklore, and hazy memory, and is articulated with the antique printed material she hunts for and collects in each new place she visits. Her current work explores the quiet pauses within these vaguely familiar narratives—the moments in which protagonists are isolated, the hero sits alone, and fantastic landscapes are left empty.
