W.C. Rice

W.C. Rice (1930 - 2004) worked for more than 20 years to create what came to be known as WC Rice's Cross Garden. He filled his 11 acre property, which ran alongside a county road outside of Prattville, Alabama, with crosses and signs, fashioned from all kinds of salvaged wood and metal, all of it emblazoned with warnings of the wages of sin. "Hell Is Hot Hot Hot," "You Will Die," "Repent," etc. Toward the end of his life he sold a few of his signs.
