Charley Kinney (1906-1991), was an Appalachian mountain man and tobacco farmer who lived in Vanceburg, Kentucky.  His watercolor & pencil drawings recounted local folk tales (lots of devils & “haints”) and religious stories as well as many drawn from personal experience.
