Fran Holland, who lives in Oakland, CA, is an electrician, musician, inventor and all around tinkerer who has a deep and compelling interest in mathematics. He has for most of his life kept notebooks in which he explores various mathematical principles, formulas and systems of counting. Part of that exploration has been the drawing of graphs to illustrate and help visualize the concepts. Several years ago it dawned on him that these graphs would make beautiful paintings so, despite having no training he set to work. The resulting paintings are indeed both beautiful and intriguing, and Yard Dog is excited to give them their first showing.
