Daniel Johnston was an artist and musician who achieved widespread recognition for both his songwriting and his art. He led an extraordinary and intensely interesting life, spending most of his life wrestling with mental illness. Above all else, though, he had a unique vision that shined in all of his artistic endeavors, whether in his drawings or his music.
