Gallery hours: Thursday and Friday 12 - 3, Saturday 12 - 4.
Chicago artist Margie Criner makes abstract, organic-shaped sculptures that house small dioramas, viewable through a peephole. She calls these "sculptures in sculpture." They are miniature narratives hidden inside abstract sculpture that explore the notion of vacancy in everyday places.

The pieces in this show are about music. Margie says, "The music theme isn’t always literal, but background sounds within the space, specific to what I’m processing. Kind of like how there’s music playing at the grocery store, that music is everywhere. Sometimes the work comes out of me while listening to music."
