End Of An Era, A New Beginning

After nearly 25 years on South Congress Ave, Yard Dog is moving. We're happy to announce that we’re moving across town to Canopy Austin, right behind the Bale Creek Allen Gallery. Canopy is home to lots of galleries and artist studios - we’re really excited to be in the middle of a larger arts community and we think you’ll like it, too. We intend to carry on with the same artists and aesthetic, as well as the independent spirit in which we founded Yard Dog. We represent a fair number of artist/musicians, so you know we’ll be looking for ways to incorporate live music into our events.

Eight Friday nights a year Canopy holds Open Canopy, when all the galleries and artist studios are open for viewing and various events. We'll be in our new space for the next Open Canopy on Friday, December 13, from 7-10pm. Come by and say hello!

The new gallery will mostly be open by appointment for the time being. We’ll let you know when that changes, of course, and you can follow us on social media for up to the minute news.

We also now have a booth at Uncommon Objects, 1602 Fortview Rd, Austin, TX 78704. They were a huge part of why we wanted to be on South Congress in 1995 and were a great neighbor for 20+ years, so we’re thrilled to be joining them at their “new” South Austin space.

South Congress has been our home since 1995 and will always be a big part of who we are. We've had a lifetime of history on South Congress and leaving is bittersweet, but we're excited about the possibilities in front of us.

We will be at our current South Congress location through the end of December, and you’ll still be able to find us 24/7 online at yarddog.com.

Thanks & lots of love to all of our friends.
