MC 5¢ Jones, born in 1917, was a cotton picker who spent most of his life working on the Lynn Plantation in Eagle Shute, Louisiana. He took up art after his retirement. His pen and acrylic paintings depict memories from his life as a worker on the plantation, hog slaughters, picnics, biblical scenes, animals, and portraits of family members and friends. Mr. Jones passed away in March 2003.
