Peter Paul Drgac, known as “Uncle Pete,” was born in a small Texas farming community to Czech immigrant parents. He married in 1905 and he and his wife ran a grocery store in Rosenberg, TX, until his retirement in 1955. At the age of 85 Uncle Pete took up painting, obsessively decorating almost every surface in his house and hundreds of paintings on posterboard.
