Ed Hamell is an Austin musician and painter. He performs as Hamell On Trial, described on Wikipedia as "an American punk rock, anti-folk, spoken-word musician," whose music is "informed by politics, passion, energy and intelligence." The world of his paintings is angular, pop art, cartoony, fluorescent, gritty, carnal. Many of them feature a giraffe alter-ego.
Hamell On Trial will perform at his opening this Saturday night, and we will of course have his paintings on display.
