Ian McLagan never wanted to sell his paintings. He had a show here in 2010 of digital prints - images taken from his paintings - but he hung on to the originals until he passed away in 2014. Now his estate has decided to release a few of them into the wild and we're offering them here.
Mac's paintings were his attempt at capturing the hallucinations that accompanied the migraine headaches that bedeviled him. Not simply to document them but to make something beautiful from his pain. He would make sketches immediately afterward and then, when he felt better, try to render them in paint on canvas.

Austin sign maker Evan Voyles - maker of the Yard Dog sign and many, many others - was the focus of a CBS News story on neon signs. Our sign isn't neon but gets a cameo nevertheless. It's very cool and really interesting, and you can watch it here.

In March we'll be presenting a show of new art from West Virginia cowboy artist Fort Guerin. Early 20th Century western comic books, movies, and dime novels are his primary inspirations, that and the old west mythos he absorbed growing up in Arizona.
