Verdun - Song Paintings Print #6

Smaller than Jon's usual print. Edition of 15.

Digital print mounted on plywood, touched up, and varnished. Signed on the back.   10" x 8.75"

" This song is for my Grandfather Arthur Pearse who lied about his age to enlist and fight in the First World War. He saw terrible things but survived, rarely speaking about his experiences, he gave me my first beer and did wickedly good Stan Laurel impressions. In 1918 Arthur came home to a surprise: while he was away his parents unexpectedly had another child called Rosemary, my Great Aunt, and Godmother who died a couple of years ago aged 99, a world traveler, Labour Party stalwart and keeper of our family's history."
